The product is meant to be used on slightly damp hair. On my first usage, I noticed that the spray is extremely lightweight and does not weigh down my hair. I need 8-10 pumps to cover my thick and long hair. Now, that is a lot of product! The spray did add a little shine to my hair, but did nothing else. My hair felt rough and crunchy with unsightly fly aways.
