I always look out for moisturizing product that makes my skin plump. I love to have plumped and velvety soft skin. In this post, I will be reviewing a night moisturizer from Olay. Let’s get into the review to know more about it.

My Experience with Olay White Radiance Brightening Night Essence Moisturiser:

Packaging: Olay night essence moisturizer comes in an aqua colored glass tub with silver mirrored screw lid. There is an inner lid as well to prevent the spillage. I would definitely like to term the packaging as premium or luxe. Despite being glass, the tub is not heavy and can be carried with. The packaging is spillage-proof and travel-friendly. There is no important information written over the glass tub. The glass tub has an outer cardboard packaging, which has all the information regarding night essence moisturizer.

Texture: The texture is very rich and creamy, but not heavy. This night essence moisturizer has a smooth and velvety texture. It glides over the skin effortlessly and there is no tugging while massaging the cream. The formula is rich but does not feel greasy. The moisturizer has a pale baby pink tint to it and a very mild fragrance. The fragrance does not irritate the nose and it is hardly noticeable after it gets absorbed.

Usage: When coming to the usage, I apply appropriate amount of moisturizer at night after using toner and serum. Since the cream is rich, it completely depends on you how much amount to use. I use two pea sizes for my face and neck, which moisturizes my skin effectively. This rich and creamy moisturizer needs a good massage to get absorbed into the skin. It nearly takes a minute or less and then it completely gets absorbed into the skin. I find it a good thing as my face gets a massage daily because of this cream.

After getting absorbed, it leaves my skin completely moisturized. It makes the skin velvety, soft and plump. I like the plump effect this moisturizer gives to my skin. The skin does not feel greasy or heavy and there is no sheen as well. All the moisturizer just sinks into the skin without leaving any trace behind. This night essence moisturizer never irritated my skin nor lead to any breakouts. The cream is suitable for every skin type, provided you figure out the right amount to use.

Results: It has been more than 4 weeks since I started using this night moisturizer. In fact, I have completed 6 weeks. The benefits and results stated by the brand are tall and let’s see if this night moisturizer lived up to them. Following are the claims stated along with my take on them.
-Rich and luxurious texture: The texture is very rich, creamy and feels luxurious.
-Fast-absorbing and non-greasy: It takes a while, nearly a minute or less, to get completely absorbed into the skin. The formula is very lightweight, which does not make the skin greasy at all.
-Lightly scented: Yes, the night moisturizer is lightly scented. I can notice the fragrance while massaging, but afterwards it vanishes.
-All night hydration: This is first and foremost benefit of the moisturizer. I can see my skin moisturized and plumped from the first usage itself. In the next morning, the skin looks plump.
-Lightens skin tone: It lightens the skin tone to an extent and the skin looks a bit more even-toned. However, I don’t find my skin perfectly even-toned even after 6th week of usage. It may take a while for this moisturizer to make the skin perfectly even-toned.
-Regenerate’s skin appearance to help recapture healthy-looking radiance: I don’t know what it exactly refers to, but I can say that this night moisturizer has definitely made my skin radiant and vibrant.
-Reduces the appearance of dark spots: It has reduced the appearance of dark spots after 4 weeks of usage, but the effects were minimal. The moisturizer has done very little when it comes to treat dark spots. However, the dark spots continue to fade with each passing week now.
-1st use; intense hydration for more refreshed and vibrant look: It is completely true. From the first use itself, the skin is intensely moisturized and refreshed.
-2 weeks; skin look brighter: My skin didn’t took 2 weeks to look brighter. I found that it took only a few usages, nearly a week, and my skin was visibly brighter and radiant. This moisturizer does a great job in treating tired and fatigue skin. In the next morning, I almost wake up to a plump, soft and brighter skin.
-8 weeks; the appearance of dark spots and discoloration is diminished to reveal vibrantly beautiful, even tone skin: In the 6th week of usage, the dark spots and scars were visibly diminished when compared to the 4th week of usage. I hope that with each passing week, this moisturizer will make the dark spots and scars diminished to an extent for clear skin.

Overall: It is a good night moisturizer that effectively brightens up the skin, making it smooth and velvety soft. It makes the skin plump, refreshed and vibrant. It may take a while to diminish the dark spots, but it does. Moreover, it lightens the skin tone to an extent. It has rich texture and does not make the skin greasy.
